Dharma Akmon to present "Building Tools to Support Active Curation: Lessons Learned from SEAD" on February 21, 2017 at the 12th International Digital Curation Conference. The paper ties in with the conference theme of "Upstream, Downstream: embedding digital curation in workflows for data science, scholarship and society" and focuses on lessons learned by SEAD as a result of building and implementing tools created to encourage scientists to engage in data curation throughout their research. The paper will also be published in the International Journal of Digital Curation.
The IDCC 2017 conference will be held 20 - 23 February 2017 at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Scotland. The conference will bring together digital curation professionals and educators with producers and users of data. This year's program is "embedding digital curation in organisational workflows to ensure that data is findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR), as well as putting in place flexible and resilient infrastructures, openly available to support communities."
